Why Red Rose Care?
Don't Just Take Our Word For It
Our experience with Red Rose has been excellent. My husband needed care before Christmas & Red Rose were able to cover his needs over a difficult time period & are continuing to do so. The carers are a credit - arrive on time, know the routine & are always kind & caring. When we have needed to discuss the care rota, the office staff have always been very helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending the company.

Red Rose Care have been supporting my Mum since September, supplementing the care I am able to provide and also enabling me to have a day off each week. The carers are on time, professional and Mum enjoys her interactions with them. The carers are trustworthy and the standard of care provided is very good. The management team are extremely well organised and this gives me considerable peace of mind. Overall, our experience to date with Red Rose Care has been excellent.

I was recommended Red Rose and wouldn't look anywhere else. The carer's are always punctual and will call if they have any questions or concerns about care needs. They are consistently kind and compassionate to my mum, taking the time to chat with her as well as attending to any cleaning needs. I receive detailed, thorough updates via the app after every visit, which is incredibly reassuring. They give both my sister and me real peace of mind, I would highly recommend them for your loved ones.

Red Rose have been caring for my husband for over 12 months. The carers are amazing and so patient with him. The weekly rota we receive means we know who is coming and at what time. They are happy to do any housework that is needed, and always ask if anything needs doing. Changes are communicated to us, and the office team are contactable and will work with us to address any concerns. We would struggle to keep him at home without them, they go above and beyond just providing care. Red Rose is a friendly, caring and supportive company that we are happy to recommend

Red Rose took over mum's care in November. We had previously used two other care providers. So, we have experience of a few care providers. The decision to move to Red Rose has been the best decision on mum's journey so far. The carers are consistent and on time always. We get a full report of mum's day. She has dementia so can't share this with us, it lovely to know what's she's been upto and how well she's eaten. The carers interact well with mum, encouraging her to help in daily tasks. They take time to complete jigsaws and colouring with her. They even take her for a walk and a cuppa at our local cafe. They treat her as if she was a family member. We have recently increased her hours with them as the care is outstanding and mum is much more settled.

The care that my mother in law received was excellent.... staff were all very nice and caring, nothing too much trouble. Office staff always polite. Would definitely use this care provider again if needed.

My father has significant health issues and often receives new medication. The team of carers documents, check and rechecks that the medication is correct and on occasions, brings to my attention any anomalies. When a problem is identified, I am able to contact the team quickly and talk to somebody about the problem, which is dealt with, or I gain clarity on the matter. I consider this team outstanding because they care for the people they support and respond to changes in circumstances immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Previously, care homes and nursing homes were often the only option for many people to consider. However, care at home is becoming more and more popular because it can be just as affordable, and provides individuals with the ability to remain in the comforts of their own home. Care at home can offer a suitable package of support that meets individuals needs and wants, promoting independence and choice.
We’re different. But don’t just take our word for it, See our testimonials page for more information.
We always strive to maintain a small team for our clients, because consistency is key, as it allows you and the team members to build a good, trusting relationship. However, we will never promise that you will only receive support from one care team member, because this just isn’t possible. We have to take into account sickness, annual leave, individuals working patterns, your package of care, as well as many other factors. So, our promise is that we will do our best to keep your care team to a small, but realistic size.
There are three main ways of funding your care, these are through the NHS (Continuing Healthcare), Social Services and privately. To receive financial assistance (fully or partially) with your care from the NHS or Social Services, you will likely need to meet an eligibility criteria.

We have a rigorous recruitment process in place to make sure the people visiting you are suitable, and passionate about making a difference. Starting with our initial telephone conversation and a face-to-face interview, we want to know that any potential Red Rose Care team member shares our philosophy and values. We complete a minimum of two references for each candidate, a fully enhanced DBS check, identity and right to work checks, driving licence and qualification checks, as well as anything else we feel is relevant to the role.
All new staff members are placed on our extensive 12-week induction programme. This starts with team members completing their Induction training (both online and in house). Following this, every individual will complete shadowing shifts with an experienced team member, to get to know our clients, and how Red Rose Care operate. Throughout their 12-week induction period, we will conduct regular monitoring checks and one to ones, to assess performance and suitability.
Alongside our induction programme, we provide ongoing development for all our care team members, to ensure they are as skilful and knowledgeable as possible. This includes QCFs/Apprenticeships, new monthly training modules, specialised conditions training and annual refresher training. No matter what level a care team member gets to, there will always be further training available!
We are governed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They are our governing body and provide guidelines/rules that we, and all care providers must adhere to. They conduct regular inspections to ensure we are working within their guidelines. We were last inspected in December 2020, and scored a rating of “Good”.

We do our best to provide care team members that match your preferences and needs; however, we understand that not everyone is compatible with each other. So, if you do ever have a problem/concern with one of your care team, then please do not hesitate to let us know. We want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible in your own home, so we won’t take it personally!
We use an electronic app that allows us to store and record all our care visits. This includes your care plan, risk assessments, general notes, medication, personal care, and other important things. Additionally, you and your loved ones can use a “client app” which will provide you with access to all your details, your rota, visit records and notes, so that you know what’s going on, at all times.
When you first join us, as a rule of thumb we review things in your first four weeks, then at three months, and then at the six-month stage. After this, we tend to complete reviews every six months. However, things are continuously changing, and we always monitor how we are getting on, and will review things at any time if needed.

Not a lot! Just get in touch with us and we can guide you right through the journey. During our initial conversation, we will go over your wants and needs, as well as what we can offer. If you are happy for us to, we will come out to have a face-to-face chat, to go through things in more detail, and agree a care package that you’re comfortable with. From this, we will have a few bits of papers for you to review and sign, then we can get started!
No problem! We understand that circumstances and preferences change, so we will always do our best to accommodate any changes for you.
We have a cancellation policy in place and understand that things change and appointments may crop up. If you provide us with 7 days notice to cancel a visit, there is no charge. The cancellation policy can be found in your service agreement.
Absolutely- medication plays an important role in supporting your health and well-being! In line with CQC regulations, we can assist with, or administer, and prescribed medications.
Yes, we are more than happy to have set visit times for you each day, to support with your medication needs.
For safety reasons, we can’t take a key to your house. But one common practice is having a key safe on a wall and leaving a key in there for us. Only people provided with the key safe code will have access to the keys, and the code is kept confidential to those who need it.
We generally strive to have set times for our clients, as consistency can be key. However, there may be occasions when a member of our team is running late. This could be due to many reasons, such as traffic, car breakdown or dealing with an emergency at another clients. However, if we are running over 15 minutes, we will always endeavour to contact you to let you know.
Lengths of visits vary depending on your wants and needs. Our visit times range from 30 minutes to full-time live-in care. Common times are 30 minutes and 1 hour, however, we are more than happy to come up with a suitable solution that will fit your preferences and needs!
